CONSTRUCTION PHASE PLANS (CPP)
A Construction Phase Plan (CPP) is a legal requirement for every construction project covered by CDM 2015. It sets out the arrangements for managing health and safety during the construction phase, including relevant risks, control measures and site rules.
Our consultants assist contractors and principal contractors with preparing, reviewing and updating Construction Phase Plans appropriate to the nature, size and complexity of their projects.
Our approach is practical and proportionate, producing documents that reflect the work taking place rather than relying on generic information.
Construction sites are constantly changing. Regular inspections and audits help identify hazards, review working practices and assess whether appropriate safety arrangements are being followed.
Whether you require a one-off inspection or regular visits throughout a project, our consultants can assess site conditions, review relevant documentation and identify areas requiring attention.
Our inspections help clients and contractors understand what is happening on site, identify potential shortcomings and support continuous improvement in construction safety.
Pre-Construction Information (PCI) plays an essential role in identifying and communicating significant health and safety risks before construction work begins.
Under CDM 2015, commercial clients must provide relevant pre-construction information as soon as practicable to every designer and contractor appointed, or being considered for appointment. Where a Principal Designer is appointed, they must assist the client in gathering and sharing this information.
Safehands can help clients and project teams prepare, collate and review PCI documentation to support effective planning and coordination.
